First Trip log

Welcome fellow islanders!

The first time I fell in love with Hilton Head Island was when I visited Harbortown in Sea Pines. The beautiful red and white lighthouse stood out to me and the feeling I received was very inviting. I did not stay long during this visit but every time I look at this picture of the lighthouse, I get that feeling of comfort again. As I walked around Harbortown, I found many shops, restaurants and entertainment. If you are visiting this area it is a great place to start your trip off right.

Shortly after I left Harbortown, I ate at CharBar. Coming from a small town, we did not have many chain restaurants. Also, being a “foodie”, I was open to trying a new place. I decided to try their hamburger and onion rings which were good! I recommend trying CharBar if you have not been to one. For dinner, I ate at Fishcamp on Broad Creek. This was the first time I had key lime pie outside of my grandmother’s key lime pie. It was delicious! And if you are anything like me and have a grandmother or grandma that can cook GOOD food, you know not to tell her something was just as good (if not better) than hers! I tried the lowcountry boil with shrimp, sausage, red potatoes and corn. It was plenty of food for one person. Everything was cooked just right and the service was A+!
Please comment on some places to try, places to visit or how you enjoyed the places mentioned above. I’m looking forward to discovering everything Hilton Head Island has to offer!
